A two-family house for car engineers.
As expected as an engineer, the request was made after understanding the structural superiority of the traditional wooden construction method.
In the traditional wooden construction method, the fact that there are many resistance parts that receive external force enhances safety and reduces the risk of total destruction, that is, stress distribution.
In the field of cars, railroads, and airplanes, this structure of stress dispersion is commonplace in the 20th century, but the architecture is still throwing away the work of ancestors.
成城の家(F邸):住居(伝統木構法)
カーエンジニアの二世帯住宅。
さすがエンジニアだけあって、伝統木構法の構造的優位性を理解していた上での依頼。
伝統木構法では外力を受けとめる抵抗部分が多いという事実が安全性を高め全壊する危険を少なくしている、つまり応力分散している。
車や鉄道や航空機の世界では20世紀のうちにこの応力分散という構造体が当たり前にも関わらず、建築は先祖達の仕事を捨てたに近い手法をとっているのが現状。
